The Southwest Pool & Spa Show Award of Excellence recognizes and rewards installations of pools and hot tubs which showcases the most beautiful and creative work in our region.
Oasis Pools is so proud to again be honored with this National Award. The pool located in Uptown New Orleans and was drawn & built exclusively by Oasis Pools.
This was the 2nd pool I built for this customer and he wanted something different. He resides in the city so he wanted the pool to have a very custom look while bringing in the "French feel" of city. We used simple 6x6 ceramic tiles for the waterline but in 2 different colors which gives it the "French bistro" look he was going for. It's an understated look but very impactful. We used Square Edge "Ice White Sandblasted Marble" coping & decking with faux turf. The turf breaks up the decking and giving the area a softer look and feel. It also makes for a better transition to the darker Pennsylvania Blue Stone patio.
He requested the spa to be different so I did a rolled beam and tiled it with a 1x1 ceramic tile. Besides a great look he said it's also a place to rest his neck while watching the movies on his pull down projector screen. The planters and spa are wrapped with Ice White Sandblasted Marble Split-face.
We also added an "Ice White Sandblasted Marble" Fire Pit and a radius seating wall to bring some curves to compliment the straight line design of the pool. Raised planters at water edge also brings a vertical element to the area. Also, we put the pool grade level with the existing patio while raising the rear yard to add elevation change to space which is bordered with a short step up wall.
The pool is equipped with Jandy LED lights as well as a LED bubbler. The plaster is Barbados Blue Quartzscapes which really compliments the White Marble.
The customer is 100% happy with the project and said we succeeded in all aspects.
